Irantzu LLarena got her degree in Physical Chemistry at the Universidad del País Vasco in 2002. Between 2003 and 2007 she worked on her PhD Thesis (Synthesis and characterization of molecular assemblies with controllable conformations) under the supervision of Prof. Anthony Harriman at Newcastle Upon Tyne University. Since early 2007 she joined the research group of Dr. Sergio E. Moya where she works in the synthesis and characterization of functionalized surfaces and colloidal systems with biotechnological applications. Since June 2010 she is in charge of the optical spectroscopy platform in CICbiomaGUNE.
