A Laboratory Technician position is available in the Radiochemistry and Nuclear Imaging Group at CIC biomaGUNE, located in the Gipuzkoa Technology Park in San Sebastián. The appointed person will be trained to provide support to the members of the group in radiochemistry and image quantification and analysis.

The candidate will join a research group focused on the preparation of positron-emitter labelled tracers and their evaluation in preclinical models of disease. The contents of the activity to be carried out at biomaGUNE will be:

  • Learning about radiochemical methods to prepare radiotracers using different radionuclides, including positron, beta and alpha emitters
  • Application of the methods for the labelling, dosing, and quality control of radiotracers
  • Learning about image reconstruction and analysis. The candidate will learn imaging analytic tools and methods
  • Application of the methods to imaging studies carried out in the group.

The candidate will receive training until reaching the knowledge necessary for the comprehensive development of the position.

Required Education Level:

BSc in chemistry or biomedical engineering.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Teamwork abilities.
  • No previous professional experience.
  • Less than 3 years since ontaining BSc.
Duration:

Full time.Training contract for obtaining professional practice ( 1 year )
