A Research Technician position is available to strengthen the research services team of HYLEZITEK SL, an affiliate company 100% owned by CIC biomaGUNE, located in the Gipuzkoa Technology Park in San Sebastián. The appointed technician will be responsible for managing research services, carrying out in vitro experiments involving radioactivity, and may also contribute to the generation of animal models if required.

The candidate will join a customer service line focused on preparation of radiotracers and their preclinical evaluation both in cell lines and in animal models.

Functions to be developed:

  • Maintenance and handling of cell cultures
  • Preparation of media, buffers, and reagents
  • Performing in vitro experiments with radiotracers, including binding, internalization, release, and toxicity assays
  • Generation of animal models (mice and rats), mainly subcutaneous tumour xenografts
  • Monitoring of animal health status and tumour development
  • Tissue extraction and analysis
  • Supporting routine laboratory tasks, such as organization and traceability of laboratory materials and reagents
Required Education Level:

Vocational Training (FP) in biological sciences, pharmaceutical products, or similar.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated teamwork abilities and excellent organizational skills and reliability
  • Required excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and ideally also in English.
  • Previous experience working with cells and radioactive materials, as well as accreditation to work with experimental animals (rodents; function c) will be positively valued.
Duration:

Initial full time contract duration 6 months with the possibility to become permanent.
