Aitziber L Cortajarena, Group Leader of Biomolecular Nanotechnology Lab at CIC biomaGUNE, San Sebastian (Spain), welcomes expressions of interest from Postdoctoral researchers with an excellent track record of research and publication to jointly apply to the European Commission Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme in 2026 (MSCA-PF-2026, with deadline on Sep. 9th 2026). More details at call website in the Funding & Tenders’ portal.
The Biomolecular Nanotechnology Lab at CIC biomaGUNE develops cutting-edge research in the field of protein-based functional nanostructures and biomaterials, with a focus on:
- Protein engineering and design of modular protein building blocks
- Self-assembly of proteins into well-defined and functional architectures
- Development of protein–nanomaterial hybrids for biomedical and biotechnological applications
- Engineering of functional protein-based biomaterials with programmable properties
- Design of protein-based nanotools for applications in bioelectronics, biosensing, catalysis, and modulation of cellular responses
The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to one or more of these research lines, depending on their background, expertise, and research interests, within a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.
