The Green Chemistry Group of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) has awarded Fernando López Gallego, Group Leader of the Heterogeneous Biocatalysis Laboratory at CIC biomaGUNE, the Excellence in Research Award in recognition of his novel and outstanding scientific developments in biocatalysis applied to green and sustainable processes in fine and pharmaceutical chemistry.
