Last week, CIC biomaGUNE welcomed Núria Montserrat (Minister for Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia) and Javier Selva (Director General of Technological Innovation and Scientific Internationalisation), accompanied by representatives of the Basque Government. 

The visit was hosted by José María Mato (Director General), Anna Llanes (General Manager) and Jesús Ruiz-Cabello (Principal Investigator), who presented the center’s strategy, followed by a guided tour of the Molecular and Functional Imaging Unit. 

As part of a tour of several centers belonging to the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network, the visit provided an opportunity to showcase CIC biomaGUNE’s projects and capabilities in different areas aligned with the Basque Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation (RIS4). The meeting also contributed to strengthening dialogue and collaboration between research centers and public administrations.
